Rugged 3U VPX graphics-processing board for military artificial intelligence (AI) uses introduced by EIZO
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – EIZO Rugged Solutions Inc. in Altamonte, Springs, Fla., is introducing the Condor GR5-RTX5000 ruggedized 3U VPX graphics and general-purpose graphics processing unit (GPGPU) board for artificial intelligence (AI) in military applications.
The Condor GR5-RTX5000 hosts the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 GPU (TU104) on the board chip-down. The board is for latency-sensitive applications that involve intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); degraded visual environments (DVE), digital signal processing (DSP), electronic warfare (EW), signals intelligence (SIGINT) and data science projects.
The Condor GR5-RTX5000 graphics-processing board offers as much as 9.4 teraFLOPs of FP32 floating point performance, 16 gigabytes GDDR6 memory, 48 RT ray-tracing cores for real-time rendering of photorealistic objects, and 384 Tensor Cores for deep learning training and AI inferencing.
With 3072 CUDA cores for parallel processing, this GPGPU card also supports advanced shading technologies such as mesh, texture, and variable rate shading.
The rugged Condor GR5-RTX5000 delivers real-time throughput for encoding applications with a dedicated H.264 and H.265 encode engine (NVENC). It also has a dedicated decoding core for playback (NVDEC).
The Condor GR5-RTX5000 has three customizable output configurations, comes in air- or conduction-cooled variations, complies with MIL-STD-810, and meets military and aerospace specifications for temperature, shock, vibration, and power.
