FPGA board for embedded computing in sensor processing, communications, and radar introduced by Abaco
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Abaco Systems Inc. in Huntsville, Ala., is introducing the VP889 3U VPX field-programmable gate array (FPGA) board with 100 Gigabit Ethernet for a wide range of military, aerospace, and commercial embedded computing.
The board aligns with the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) technical standard, and is for applications like communications, sensor processing, radar, and electronic warfare (EW).
This is an upgrade to provide more bandwidth and increased processing capabilities at lower power and size, ready to perform in harsh environments.
The computer board has embedded ARM cores within the Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ system-on-chip, which reduces power consumption, size, and cost, and brings advanced cyber security to the forefront.
The FPGA board comes with a open-board support package to simplify integrating application specific IP and reduce risks of program integration.
Serving as a SOSA-aligned variant of the VP889, the VP831 offers I/O and signal processing, FPGA chipset, configurable serial interface options, and embedded multiprocessor system-on-chip (MPSoC).
