3,200-gigabit-per-second rack with encryption for data center applications introduced by Pan Dacom Direkt
DREIEICH, Germany – Pan Dacom Direkt GmbH in Dreieich, Germany, is introducing the SPEED-CARRIER 1U-H rack with AES 256 Layer 1 encryption and speed as fast as 3,200 gigabits per second per rack unit for data center interconnect applications.
The need for networked services demands high bandwidths and low latency. In addition, the rise in commodity prices are driving up operating costs to limit business growth. Pan Dacom Direkt has updated its SPEED-OTS-5000 portfolio to meet the increased requirements while reducing electricity costs per bit.
The SPEED-CARRIER 1U-H is an efficient and modular rack system that accepts active and passive system cards. All modules can be commissioned via the front panel, are hot-swappable, and can be replaced without affecting the rest of the data traffic.

System cards with bandwidths as fast as 400 gigabits per second and AES 256 Layer 1 encryption can work in this rack, which offers packing density of as much as 3,200 gigabits per second per rack unit.
Intelligent ventilation requires no ventilation distance to neighboring systems. As many as nine slots can host high- and low-bit-rate system cards as well as a management card. A flexible redundant power supply of 230 volts AC or 48 volts DC can be installed in all applications.
