Android design and development software for applications that help infantry in the field offered by Hexagon
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Hexagon US Federal in Huntsville, Ala., is introducing LuciadCPillar design and development software for Android to help systems integrators develop mobile applications for infantry soldiers in the field.
The Android development software enables developers to build mobile applications with 2D and 3D views with military symbology and geospatial data types such as vector data, raster data, elevation data, point clouds, and 3D meshes.
These are some of the same capabilities found in desktop, in-vehicle, and web browser applications built with LuciadLightspeed, LuciadCPillar, and LuciadRIA.
Systems integrator Impact-sas in Orléans, France, helped Hexagon test LuciadCPillar for Android and will integrate it into the company's Delta Suite for infantry warfighters in the French Special Operations Command. The Delta Suite helps combine geo-localized information with data from different sensors, which members of an operation then can share.
LuciadCPillar for Android offers capabilities to match the high-resolution screens, graphics processing units, and multi-core processors offered in today's Google-powered smart phones and tablets, including displaying 3D data in mobile applications. LuciadCPillar for Android supports ARM processors.
LuciadCPillar for Android was released as part of Luciad 2022.1, which is available worldwide. For more information contact Hexagon US Federal online at https://hexagonusfederal.com.
