SOSA-aligned 3U OpenVPX switch and chassis for electronic warfare (EW) and radar introduced by Annapolis
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Annapolis Micro Systems Inc. in Annapolis, Md., is introducing the rugged WP3E20 and WC31DH WILDSTAR 3U OpenVPX Ethernet switch and chassis for low-latency electronic warfare (EW) jamming or radar applications.
The switch and chassis integrate high-density VITA 91 connectors that double the available backplane density.
The WP3E20 switch offers as many as 128 different pairs of Ethernet, while the WC31DH WILD100 13-Slot 3U OpenVPX chassis offers as many as 64 lanes of Ethernet or PCI Express, or 128 LVDS pairs.
The rugged WP3E20 switch provides switching between backplane slots of several channels of 100-gigabit Ethernet, front panel I/O, separate data and control plane switches, and two Zynq UltraScale+ processors that support encrypted secure communications.
The WP3E20 switch also has HD connectors to increase bandwidth and reduce latency, and features as many as 14 40/100-gigabit and 24 1/10/25-gigabit or six 40/100-gigabit Ethernet ports.
The WC31DH front-loading forced-air 19-inch rackmount chassis is conduction-cooled, and has 13 3U OpenVPX slots. It includes eight primary payload slots with 14.6.11 profile; two HD switch profiles; one timing slot with 14.9.2 profile; and two 12-volt VITA 62 power supply slots.
The two HD switch slots enable the WC31DH chassis to handle all data and control plane Ethernet via one slot, with the second switch slot dedicated to the expansion plane Ethernet, PCI Express, and LVDS.
The chassis includes the secure WABGM2 WILD chassis manager, and is SOSA-aligned and VITA 46.11 compliant, and is powered by a Xilinx UltraScale+ ZU11EG MPSoC and Microsemi PolarFire MPF200T FPGA for security. For more information contact Annapolis Microsystems online at www.annapmicro.com.
