Officials at the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) needed to upgrade the electronics in its Aeronautical Center.
They opted to do so with the help of K & F Electronics, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards in Fraser, Mich.
K & F Electronics won a three-year contract to supply the FAA’s Aeronautical Center with four different types of circuit boards. This agreement is the first federal contract of this type for K & F Electronics, says a representative.
“We have been trying to get our foot in the door for a while now,” says Rick Kincaid, president and chief executive officer.
“It is a learning process, to be sure, to learn how to monitor the government for contracting opportunities and to submit the required paperwork correctly,” Kincaid continues. “All our customers will benefit from our role as a government contractor; all our jobs will receive the same treatment.”
