LynuxWorks in San Jose, Calif., is offering LynxOS-SE time-space partitioned hard real time operating system (RTOS) with Posix and Linux application support for performance and safety-critical environments in military and aerospace applications. The product is built on the LynxOS-178 operating system from LynuxWorks, which has U.S. Federal Aviation Administration certification for safety-critical software. The operating is for multithreaded and multi-process applications in secure systems. The software also complies with ARINC 653-1 standards and has a Linux application binary interface that enables Linux applications to run unmodified along with native Posix and ARINC applications with brick-wall partitions.
