The print, online, and live-event family of Military & Aerospace Electronics just got a lot stronger. Our new family is called the PennWell Aerospace & Defense Media Group, which includes flagship publication Military & Aerospace Electronics, the trade show giant Avionics Europe, the new Avionics USA trade show, the Avionics Intelligence Web site and twice-monthly electronic newsletter, as well as the familiar Military & Aerospace Electronics Forum conference and trade show.
You might notice the flag on the cover of Military & Aerospace Electronics, which has a golden aircraft in the cross hairs. This icon, which shall come to represent all family members of the PennWell Aerospace & Defense Media Group, means that aviation and military technologies are the bull’s eye–the sweet spot–of what we offer to you in print, online, and face-to-face formats.
PennWell established its Aerospace & Defense Media Group because it’s not just about print anymore. The Group, by design, has triad support of live events, online media, and the superior print product Military & Aerospace Electronics, now in its 20th year. It all starts with Military & Aerospace Electronics (www.milaero.com), the magazine. Started in January 1990, Military & Aerospace Electronics continues as the leader in application-specific military technology coverage. This means technology coverage of military and aerospace applications like missiles, communications, test and measurement, sensors, control systems, homeland security, aircraft, ships, vehicles, intelligence, and navigation. Within these applications, it means coverage of technologies like electro-optics, rugged and embedded computers, nanotechnology, integrated circuits, board products, software development tools, and power electronics.
Next comes Avionics Europe (www.avionics-event.com), based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Every March, this show brings together avionics designers and buyers for one of the most powerful events of its kind. This event, which has been based in Europe, will get an American flavor next month when the first Avionics USA (www.avionics-usa.com) premiers co-located with the Military & Aerospace Electronics Forum conference and trade show June 1 and 2 in San Diego. The avionics conference and trade show cover the international avionics waterfront where it comes to avionics technologies, standards, and business opportunities.
The next live-event member of the PennWell Aerospace & Defense Media Group is an old favorite–the Military & Aerospace Electronics Forum conference and trade show (www.milaeroforum.com), which will be co-located with the Avionics USA show. The Forum, which is descended from the original COTScon shows from the 1990s, features defense industry and government standouts who present the latest and most crucial information on defense technologies, business opportunities, and emerging standards.
Now for the online family members. First and foremost is the Military & Aerospace Electronics Web site (www.milaero.com), which offers daily in-depth updates on news, contracts, procurement opportunities, executive insights, blogs, the Mil & Aero Command Post community, video, exclusive features and analyses, new products, Webcasts, and white papers. A companion to the site is the weekly electronic newsletter.
Next comes one of our newest and most exciting members of the family–the Avionics Intelligence Web site (www.avionics-intelligence.com) and twice-monthly electronic newsletter. Avionics Intelligence brings you frequently updated dispatches on avionics design-ins, avionics standards, contracts, and avionics industry business news.
It’s all here, all under the same umbrella. It’s the PennWell Aerospace & Defense Media Group, which brings you the best of what you need every day.
