SUNNYVALE, Calif., 26 August 2005. Endwave Defense Systems today announced the receipt of follow-on orders from Raytheon Co. for 189 microwave subsystems to be used on the SMART-T program.
SMART-T is a vehicle-based satellite-communication link.
The AN/TSC-154 SMART-T system (Secure Mobile Anti-Jam Reliable Tactical- Terminal) is a joint, mobile, multi-channel terminal that provides tactical users with secure, survivable, anti-jam, low probability of intercept and detection satellite communications in a HMMWV configuration. The program supports advancing forces as they move beyond the line-of-sight capability of Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) and can use Milstar and commercial satellite communications links.

Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2005, and will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2006. Endwave has been a supplier to the SMART-T program for the past seven years from Endwave Defense Systems' division in Diamond Springs, Calif.
