LEMO F-Series connectors for demanding environments available from distributor Astute Electronics

SUFFOLK, Va., 19 Sept. 2016. Electronics distributor Astute Electronics Inc. in Suffolk, Va., is offering the F Series connectors from LEMO USA Inc. in Rohnert Park, Calif., for applications in demanding environments where space and weight are critical.

The LEMO F Series interconnects meet MIL Std 810E, but are far smaller than comparable mil-spec connectors, enabling space savings. The connectors have an aluminum alloy body achieves a low weight for size, yet can withstand high shock and vibration and also is IP-67 rated.

The LEMO F Series features a push pull latching mechanism to provide secure connection, while the contact density enables considerable panel space savings. Multi-key options prevent cross-mating of similar connectors within a panel.

Within the F Series, models are available with 2 to 66 contacts, and contact types include LV and fiber optic, plus hybrids. They can withstand as many as 1,000 mating cycles, and offer crimp and PCB terminations.

The F Series also offers full EMC protection, is rated to IP67 against dust and water ingress, and can withstand temperatures between -15 and 200 degrees Celsius.
