LIBERTY, S.C., 24 Sept. 2013. Sealevel Systems Inc. in Liberty, S.C., is introducing the 121004-KT to help systems designers develop COM Express projects. the kit is powered by a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom N2800 CPU with 4 gigabytes of RAM and integrated heat sink.
The embedded computing development kit also includes an installed 2.5-inch 32-gigabyte SATA solid-state disk. Standard features include five USB 2.0, two RS-232, one RS-485, dual Gigabit Ethernet, SATA, DisplayPort and audio interfaces.
To interface the RS-485 port, a 10-pin IDC to DB9M serial cable is included. The carrier board and module are powered by the included 100-240-volt AC to 24-volt DC external power supply with US power cord.
The QuickStart kit uses the same COM Express module and carrier board as the Sealevel Relio R2 and R3 industrial computers. Sealevel's 121004-KT is designed to simplify software development and prototyping during target application carrier board design.
The Sealevel library of I/O circuits including serial, analog, and digital functionality can help simply the design process and can be optimized to meet specific I/O count, voltage ranges, and connector types, company officials say.
