3.5-inch embedded computer with AMD G-series SoC processor introduced by Win Enterprises
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass., 10 May 2013. WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the MB-60830 3.5-inch single-board computer for factory automation, medical imaging, thin client, and digital signage.
The embedded computing board has the AMD Embedded G-series system on chip (SoC) with integrated chipset and discrete-class AMD Radeon graphics processing unit (GPU).
The 28-nanometer processor is a one-chip solution for boards to accelerate 3D graphics, as well as to support more generalized embedded computing applications.
In addition to its integrated chipset and AMD Radeon 8000 series graphics, the AMD Embedded G-series SoC includes L2 cache and an DDR3 memory controller, enterprise-class error-correction code (ECC) memory support, industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, and available with dual or quad-core CPUs based on AMD's next-generation architecture code named Jaguar.
The AMD Embedded G-series SoC achieve performance per watt through more aggressive clock and power gating, company officials say. Thermal Design Power (TDP) for the family of SoCs range from 9 to 25 Watts.
