Quantum3D presents next-generation Thermite rugged embedded computers

Quantum3D Inc., a provider of visual computing solutions for government and commercial applications, extends its Thermite family of embedded computers with the Thermite XVG 4000 and Thermite TL 2000. The company’s new rugged embedded computers are designed for performance in field-deployed computing, meeting the computing and operation needs of military and aerospace environments.

The company’s new rugged embedded computers are designed for performance in field-deployed computing, meeting the computing and operation needs of military and aerospace environments.

“The Thermite TL 2000 offers small size and power efficiency, while the Thermite XVG 4000 offers the ultimate in high-performance processing power to accommodate a range of field-deployed computing needs,” says Arthur Yan, president, Quantum3D. “In addition, both form-factors are designed to endure some of the most severe environmental and temperature conditions, from extreme weather to vibrations and shock.”

The Thermite XVG 4000, bringing the power of a graphics workstation to the battlefield, is well suited for applications ranging from real-time sensor signal processing to situational awareness. The fan-less, graphics-based, rugged computer features a modular design that can be optimized to meet specific project requirements; users can tailor the CPU, GPU, video processing, networking, I/O, and storage features using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) modules.
