BOSTON, 29 Sept. 2011. WinSystems Inc. in Arlington, Texas, is introducing the EBC-C384 EBX-compatible Intel Atom-based single board computer for rugged embedded applications such as military, medical, factory automation, transportation, smart grid, and security. WinSystems introduced the embedded computing board this week at the Embedded Systems Conference in Boston. The EBC-C384 comes with the Intel Atom single core 1.66 GHz N455 or dual core 1.80 GHz D525 processor, ICH8M I/O hub controller, and onboard serial and parallel I/O interfaces. The EBC-C384 uses the integrated Intel graphics processor which supports CRT and low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) simultaneously to support applications that need several display configurations.

WinSystems introduced the CPU board this week at the Embedded Systems Conference in Boston. This computer board's I/O includes two SATA channels, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, four serial COM channels that support RS-232/422/485, 48 digital I/O lines, and HD audio. Legacy I/O includes a PS/2 keyboard and mouse controller, LPT port, and PATA interface.

PC/104, PC/104-Plus, and MiniPCI connectors provide additional expansion options with industry standard off-the-shelf or user-designed specialty I/O modules.

Software support includes Linux, Windows XP embedded and WES7. It also supports other x86-compatible RTOS such as QNX and VxWorks. For more information contact WinSystems online at www.winsystems.com.
