(DTI) in Ridgeland, Miss., is introducing the ATC7000 dual-socket AdvancedTCA node blade server for next-generation telecommunications, embedded computing, and other kinds of communications applications. The ATCA blade server has 12 cores of processing power (24 simultaneous threads with HyperThreading enabled), and features dual Intel Xeon 5600 series Westmere processors.The ATC7000 provides support for as much as 64 gigabytes memory and an optional RTM with additional network interface options. The board is PICMG 3.0 compliant, and provides for LTE/4G and other next-generation wireless and wireline applications, 3G and 4G Infrastructure, WiMAX, IMS applications, virtualization, IPTV, radio network controlling, datacenter/network operations, security and traffic handling, computational clustering, and transcoding and encoding processes.The ATC7000 blade is available with the Intel Xeon L5628 processor for NEBS applications, and the more powerful Intel Xeon E5645 processor for the most demanding applications, says JP Landry, networking program manager at Diversified Technology.
