Apptis selects DISA to provide network operations support for U.S. Central Command
CHANTILLY, Va., 9 July 2008.The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded a multi-year task order valued at $25 million to Apptis Inc. to provide critical network operations and information assurance support to the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., and Bahrain.
USCENTCOM is a joint services Combatant Command responsible for Combat Operations within South West Asia (SWA), including Iraq and Afghanistan.

Apptis provides 24x7 Tier 1 and 2 network operations and help-desk support to ensure continuous USCENTCOM command-and-control communications systems are available to the warfighter. "By enhancing the network management infrastructure and providing services for continuous availability, classified and unclassified communication flows securely and efficiently via voice, data, video and satellite to command centers within SWA and the United States," says a representative.
