Eight-channel MIL-STD-1553 module introduced by DDC for aerospace and defense applications
Dec. 4, 2012
BOHEMIA, N.Y., 4 Dec. 2012. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y, is introducing the BU-67112 MIL-STD-1553 Express Mezzanine Card (XMC) for mission-critical military and aerospace applications.
The XMC module's advanced I/O incorporates DDC's Total-AceXtreme integrated MIL-STD-1553 component with low-power ASIC design.
By combining protocol, transceivers, and transformers, the Total-AceXtreme uses relatively few parts for power savings, increased performance, increased mean times between failures (MTBF), and high channel count, DDC officials say.
