3U VPX data storage module for any CPU introduced by Acromag Xembedded
WIXOM, Mich., 12 Oct. 2012. The Acromag Inc. Xembedded group in Wixom, Mich., is introducing the XVPX-9756 3U VPXdata storage module for embedded computing applications that is SATA/SAS bootable, and is suitable for use with any CPU, company officials say.
The XVPX-9756 supports dual slim SATA drives or one 2.5-inch rotating or solid-state drive. The module connects to the CPU via SATA signals or by PCI Express signals through an on-board controller. The operating range is 0 to 70 degrees Celsius or -40 to 85 C, depending on thermal options.
By employing dual slim SATA drives on the XVPX-9756, users can take advantage of a single-card RAID system. This drive module is RAID 0/1 configurable with the option to use RAID 0 striping for high data throughput or RAID 1 mirroring so that data written on one disk drive is also simultaneously written to the other disk drive.
