Rugged display for industrial and marine applications introduced by Avnet Embedded

POING, Germany, 22 May 2012. Avnet Embedded in Poing, Germany, is introducing the LB121S03-TL03 industrial 12.1-inch LG SVGA TFT display for marine, industrial, and medical applications. The rugged display has a lifetime of at least three years, has a bright LED backlight, a built-in LED backlight driver, and LVDS interface.

The rugged display has a lifetime of at least three years, has a bright LED backlight, a built-in LED backlight driver, and LVDS interface.
The 800-by-600-pixel TFT LCD panel uses a thin film transistor as the active element and employs an integral LED backlight system to achieve a typical brightness of 450cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 600:1. The display will operate in portrait or landscape mode.
Capable of displaying as many as 16.7 million colors, the display has an active area of 246 by 184.5 millimeters and overall dimensions of 276 by 209 by 9 millimeters. The display LED backlight has a dimming control using pulse width modulation and has a half brightness lifetime of 50,000 hours.
