ESCONDIDO, Calif., 15 Nov. 2009. One Stop Systems Inc. in Escondido, Calif., is introducing telecom-certified servers -- the 1U and 3U servers are for the central office and data centers, and the 8U rugged rackmount chassis with power and cooling for as many as 17 boards and solid state drive options.
One Stop's embedded server series is built on Intel server boards using two Intel quad core Nehalem processors and support 96 gigabytes of DRAM solid-state memory.
The 8U CompactPCIrugged server includes a CompactPCI ExpressCPU board and supports CompactPCI and CompactPCI Express I/O board technology. The 1U RAID array supports four SATA/SAS drives and has a PCI Express connection to its host server at 10-gigabits per second.
All products have been certified to Network Equipment Building Standards (NEBS) Level 3, making them suitable for central office and other relatively benign environments.
Two configurations of the 1U server support either two or five drives with an internal RAID 0/1/10. Both versions offer dual Intel Xeon 5500-series processors. Both servers support PCI Express and/or Infiniband connectivity.
In addition, the PCI Express x16 slot can be used for PCI Express expansion. This adds several high-speed I/O cards like GPU (graphical processing unit) boards or solid state drive boards to the server. The system provides ample power and cooling in a rugged rackmount chassis only 21 inches deep.
The 3U server also employs Intel 5500-series (Nehalem) processors. It provides one hot swappable hard drive shuttle and one internal mounting for a 2-1/2-inch solid-state drive or hard disk drive. The server supports two PCI Express x16 add-in cards in addition to several other I/O cards. The system is equipped with dual, redundant 500 watt power supplies, with either AC or DC input.
The 8U server supports CompactPCI Express and CompactPCI add-in boards. This rugged rackmount chassis provides power and cooling for as many as 17 boards. The dual core CPU board supports XMC and PMC modules and is equipped with four 1 Gibabit Ethernet ports.
