CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., 14 Oct. 2007. GE Fanuc Embedded Systems in Charlottesville, Va., is announcing the VP11 and VR11 6U VMEbus single-board computers with a choice of Intel dual core processors.
The boards are for applications such as simulation/training, test and measurement, automation, and telecommunications. The boards also provide an upgrade path for existing VP9 and VR9 single-board computers.
The VR11 is a single slot solution that can be ruggedized (including conduction cooling), while the VP11 is a dual-slot solution.
Each board can support as much as 4 gigabytes of DDR2 SDRAM soldered memory. The VP11 has two PMC sites on-board hard disk or CompactFlash subsystem, and front-panel functionality. The VR11 can support either two PMC sites or one PMC site together with a hard disk subsystem. A PCI Express-based XMC option is also available.
Both boards an AT 2D and 3D graphics engine for resolutions up to SXGA, together with audio support. Windows, Linux, VxWorks, and Integrity are available. For more information contact GE Fanuc online at www.gefanucembedded.com.
