6U VPX embedded computing board for digital signal processing (DSP) introduced by Interface Concept
Oct. 5, 2017
QUIMPER, France – Interface Concept in Quimper, France, is introducing the IC-INT-VPX6e server-class 6U VPX digital signal processing (DSP) embedded computing board for military, aerospace, and avionics applications.
The computer board is based on two 12-core Intel Xeon D-15xx processors, and combines the Intel Xeon 14-nanometer system-on-chip (SoC) package, together with as much as 64 gigabytes of high-speed DDR4 memory.
It complies with the OpenVPX standard and offers a PCI Express Gen 2/3 switch, a Gigabit Ethernet low-latency switch, and 16 lanes on the data and expansion planes, Gigabit Ethernet ports on the control plane, and additional 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.
It is pluggable into custom or standard full-mesh backplane or in centralized system when interfaced with the Interface Concept ComEth4510a or ComEth4115a switches.
The board also has scalable and secured SATA Nand solid-state drive, GPIOs, USB, SATA ports, and two VGA interfaces provided by one Silicon Motion SM750 graphics processing units. Interface Concept provides Linux LSP and BSP for VxWorks with the board, and is available in air- or conduction-cooled versions (compliant with VITA 47 classes).
