FREMONT, Calif. – Elma Electronic Inc. in Fremont, Calif., is introducing the 3U VPX MORA-ready Development Platform (MRDP) for fast RF systems development in embedded computing applications.

The MRDP design and development tools come pre-integrated with standard interoperable components and software, including plug-in cards from open standards industry partners and software tools from partner Sciens Innovations in York, Pa.

Elma's MRDP uses the Sciens helux Core MORA RF tools to help the user view, evaluate, and control MORA resources to explore device capabilities and functionality as well as create, view, and modify MORA Signal Resource Profiles (MSRPs).

The MRDP also provides a known reference platform to support system development. The pre-integrated environment simplifies creating RF signal processing and expedites integration of existing applications.

Developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, Modular Open RF Architecture (MORA) is designed to provide modularity, openness, and scalability in an open architecture.

MORA enables systems integrators to reduce costs, increase innovation, and accelerate application development, while addressing complex radio frequency (RF) systems.
