Software design and development tools and simulation to manage logic controllers introduced by Emerson
ST. LOUIS – Emerson Electric Co. in St. Louis is introducing the PAC Machine Edition (PME) 10.6 integrated software design and development tools to configure and manage control system devices, including PACSystems programmable logic controllers and QuickPanel human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
This update is the latest and most advanced version, and includes simulation, data monitoring enhancements, optimized connectivity, and programming efficiency.
Testing code
PACSystems Simulator helps users write, test, and troubleshoot control logic on a programmable logic controllers emulator to speed development and ensure correct selections. The Simulator enables users to test code continuously throughout development.
The data monitor software helps developers to diagnose and resolve logic issues quickly using plotted data. Advanced configuration options for visualizing and analyzing data in a modernized display, and the ability to save and retrieve monitor configurations helps users gain insights into system dynamics, detect root causes of anomalies, and uncover trending conditions.
The OPC-UA PAC Server accelerates programmable logic controllers communication performance for visualization and other client applications with double the tag count capacity, fast startup speeds, and improved processing efficiency.
Similarly, PROFINET enhancements provide more efficient configuration and operation-with additional diagnostics-for communication with intelligent field devices, such as I/O, sensors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
