Jabil enhances expertise in reverse logistics and repair services with acquisition of Telmar Network Technology
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., 4 Dec. 2011.Electronics contract manufacturing specialist Jabil Circuit Inc. (NYSE:JBL) in St. Petersburg, Fla., is enhancing its expertise in reverse logistics and repair services with its acquisition of Telmar Network Technology Inc. in Plano, Texas. Jabil completed its acquisition of Telmar in s a sale that was announced last August. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Network Technology specializes in complex reverse logistics, repair services, technical support, and spare parts management for communication network service providers, enterprise, and original equipment manufacturers. The Telmar business will become part of Jabil’s Diversified Manufacturing Services segment.
The combination of Telmar and Jabil will create an end-to-end, multi-vendor aftermarket services company that connects networks for OEMs and network operators. The two companies will provide turnkey network maintenance for cell phones, set top boxes, laptops computers, VoIP and wireless phones, and wireless and wireline infrastructures, company officials say.
