SAIC wins $22 million contract by Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center
MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 3, 2012. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC) to provide Instrument Landing System (ILS) modernization services in support of the U.S. Air Force (USAF). The contract has a one year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of more than $22 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., Overland Park, Kan. and at USAF bases worldwide, as required.
The OC-ALC provides depot maintenance, management expertise, installation services and information support for weapon systems, commands, USAF bases and allied nations. Under the contract, SAIC will provide ILS modernization services, including a modification that replaces obsolete ILS components with modern commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment, integrates them into existing infrastructure, and enables remote maintenance and monitoring. SAIC will also help develop a comprehensive data package, including configuration management, maintenance, interfaces, and life cycle logistics support.
