Registration opens for FPED VIII government-industry 2011 force protection equipment demonstration

WASHINGTON, 20 Dec. 2010. Registration is open for the Eighth Force Protection Equipment Demonstration (FPED VIII), a collaborative effort between government and industry in which the latest commercial off-the-shelf technology for countering terrorist threats is presented. FPED VIII will be held at Stafford Regional Airport in Northern Virginia from May 17 through 19, 2011.

WASHINGTON, 20 Dec. 2010. Registration is open for the Eighth Force Protection Equipment Demonstration (FPED VIII), a collaborative effort between government and industry in which the latest commercial off-the-shelf
(COTS) technology for countering terrorist threats is presented. FPED VIII will be held at Stafford Regional Airport in Northern Virginia from May 17 through 19, 2011.

More than 575 exhibitors will demonstrate more than 3,000 technologically advanced COTS products in 20 equipment categories. The DOD Physical Security Equipment Action Group (PSEAG), administered by the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Nuclear and Chemical and Biological Defense Programs/Nuclear Matters (OATSD NCB/NM), will direct and sponsor the demonstration. Additional sponsors include: the U.S. Department of Energy and the Technical Support Working Group. The demonstration is coordinated and executed by the U.S. Army Product Manager, Force Protection Systems.
