I rolled into the Von Braun Center—the Huntsville location for this year’s AUSA—this morning to set up our booth, just ahead of a torrential thunderstorm.Â
Those of you who are regular readers of my reporting from our trade shows will understand the following. I was worried about two things; the rain in our booth (see here) and those @#$%$ camels! (That was last year’s AUSA Global Force show: unfortunately, my blog post from that day of the show seems to have disappeared…).Â
It turned out that I needn’t have worried; the roof was tight and the circus had left the building quite a while ago, apparently. So, apart from the usual messy details, it went together pretty well and looks ready for us to greet our visitors.
I must say that our agenda is packed. We have a minimum of 16 meetings over the two and a half day show. It seems everyone (including mostly high-level directors from each of the commands) wants to learn about how Abaco is moving out on our innovative and open business stance. We have a great story to tell and we’re really hungry to hear from these folks how we can turn this high energy into success for them. We’re also bringing along some new products to show (look for our product release in tomorrow’s news feed or check out our press releases here) that really show how aggressively we are delivering innovation.  AUSA Global Force 2016 is our “coming out”—our first show as Abaco Systems—so we’re having a party on Wednesday night. Stop by our booth (#108) for an invitation! We’ll be bringing a cross-section of our people (engineers, program managers, customer service folks, and some of us old business development guys) from our home base down the road (literally) in Huntsville and we would love to see and talk to you there!
