In dynamic development and production test environments where multiple flight computers are supported, patch panels have been the typical implementation for migrating between different ARINC 429 product transmitter and receiver pin-out configurations. One solution to remedy this
type of hardware limitation is the RARXMC. Having 16 fixed ARINC 429 receive
channels and 16 software programmable transmit/receive channels, the user
can choose to configure any of the 16 programmable channel I/O pins to function in either transmit or receive operations. This saves both time and labor when dealing with multiple custom cable harnesses for different flight computer installations on the same test bench.
