This cable has been specially designed by PIC for airborne high-speeddata applications. The twisted-pair construction (four separatepairs) effectively reduces inductive interference while 100% foil(for each pair) plus braided shielding over each pair and an overallshield serves to further protect against EMI.DV0824 cable has 4 pairs which were designed to have a lowskew between pairs for high performance video applications. Thelow skew between each pair ensures the signal sent down eachpair reaches the other end at approximately the same time.Conductor insulation consists of foamed fluoropolymer, having ahigher velocity of propagation. This assures correct impedancematching, thus minimizing reflection — important in high-speeddata applications. This permits smaller overall diameter and weight,at the same time retaining performance and required operatingparameters. Each pair is individually shielded and jacketed toisolate it from the other pairs.Silver-plated copper conductors and shielding assure uniform conductivitywith excellent solderability. An ETFE jacket protects thecable against abrasion and environmental effects while maintainingflexibility for ease of installation.
