This cable has been specially designed by PIC for airborne10 and 100 Base-T Local Area Network applications asdefined by ARINC Specification 664.Data transmission aboard aircraft faces more severe environmentaland EMI situations than conventional LAN systemsin commercial buildings, hence special measures have beentaken to preserve technical performance.Each conductor is surrounded by a foamed Fluoropolymerdielectric having a high velocity of propagation which permitssmaller overall diameter and weight while retaining performanceand required operating parameters. Silver-platedcopper conductors and shielding assure uniform conductivitywith excellent solderability. An ETFE laser markabkle jacketprotects the cable against abrasion and environmental effectswhile maintaining flexibility for ease of installation.E20224 exceeds ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 CAT 5e Channel Requirements.It is Skydrol resistant, RoHS compliant and passesthe FAA flammability requirements of FAR Part 23 and 25,Appendix F.
