It is an approved cable byHoneywell for the EPIC/APEX System.Data transmission aboard aircraft faces more severe environmentaland EMI situations than conventional LAN systemsin commercial buildings, hence special measures have beentaken to preserve technical performance.Each conductor is surrounded by a foam fluoropolymer insulationand is designed to be terminated in ARINC 600and 38999 quadrax contacts.A fluoropolymer jacket protects the cable against abrasionand environmental effects while maintaining flexibility forease of installation.F20424 is Skydrol resistant, RoHS compliant and passesthe FAA flammability requirements of FAR Part 23 and 25,Appendix F.
