DMU41 is our latest six-degree-freedom High Performance IMU (HPIMU). It is a ground-breaking, affordable, non-ITAR, MEMS alternative to ‘FOG-Grade’ IMUs. It takes proven performance and reliability from its predecessor; the highly popular DMU30, but packages it in a smaller form and with added user functionality. DMU41 is an impressive SWaP-C IMU measuring 125cm3, weighing under 170g and consuming less than 2.5W.
DMU41 has been designed specifically to meet the growing demand for high-end applications requiring a ‘tactical grade’ IMU without being ITAR controlled. It can provide messages at variable output rates up to 2kHz which can include a combination of angular rate, acceleration, delta angle and delta velocity, temperature and built in test results. While retaining its class-leading performance DMU41 is half the size, weight and power compared to its predecessor, the highly successful DMU30. Each DMU41 is calibrated over the full operational temperature range using Silicon Sensing’s in-house state of the art test facility.
