Now Available! Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library v25.0 for Ansys HFSS
Tampa, Florida (March 6, 2025) – Modelithics®, the industry leader in providing innovative and high-quality custom modeling and measurement services for RF, microwave, semiconductor, and millimeter-wave electronic devices, is pleased to announce the release of the Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library v25.0 for Ansys® HFSS™. With this release, the COMPLETE+3D Library now represents approximately 28,000 components with circuit simulation models and ~7000 components with 3D EM / 3D Brick EM™ models suitable for full-wave electromagnetic simulations. The release is compatible with Ansys HFSS 2025 R1 and is backward compatible with previous Modelithics library releases.
Included in this release are new 3D EM models for 19 single layer capacitors (SLC) for Tecdia. Each are validated up to 60 GHz. A new 3D Brick EM is also available for Kemet CBR01 series capacitor, which is validated to 67 GHz. For more details on Modelithics 3D Brick EM models, view Application Note 78.
Also available within this release are approximately 30 new Microwave Global Models™ for capacitor, inductor, and resistor families from International Manufacturing Servies (IMS), Kemet, Kyocera-AVX, Murata, Samsung, Susumu, Knowles-Syfer and Voltronics. Each of the Microwave Global equivalent circuit models includes many of Modelithic's Advanced Model Features such as Part-Value Scaling, Substrate Scaling, Pad Scaling, Representation of High-Order Resonant Effects, and Accurate Effective Series Resistance. A single Microwave Global Model covers the full range of part values for a vendor part series.
In addition, this release includes a new model for MACOM MACR-011020 varactor and Microchip MV3903-P2010 varactor, which are both validated up to 67 GHz and are substrate and temperature scalable. New models for attenuators for Smiths Interconnect, IMS, and Aeroflex as well as new models for 18 packages for Vishay-Barry.
Through the Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) program, FREE 90-day use of Modelithics models for Kyocera-AVX, IMS, Kemet, Tecdia, and Smiths Interconnect components are available. About Modelithics, Inc.
Modelithics, Inc. (www.Modelithics.com) was formed in 2001 to address the industry-wide need for high-accuracy RF and microwave active and passive simulation models for use in Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Modelithics’ premium product is the Modelithics® COMPLETE Library, which includes the CLR Library™, containing measurement-based Microwave Global Models™ for a multitude of commercially available passive component families, as well as non-linear diode models, non-linear transistor models, and system-level component models. Modelithics’ services also address a wide range of custom RF and microwave measurement and modeling needs. Modelithics product offerings, which
support multiple EDA software platforms, including the Modelithics mmWave Library, Modelithics System Components Library™ the Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library. Modelithics® is a registered trademark of Modelithics, Inc. Microwave Global Models™, System Components Library™, and CLR Library™ are also trademarks of Modelithics, Inc. The Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) Program allows for collaboration and open communication during the development of advanced data sets and models for
commercially available microwave components and devices, with flexible sponsorship and distribution arrangements for the resulting data and models. An example of such an arrangement is the Modelithics Qorvo GaN Library, a fully sponsored library distributed for free by Modelithics under the sponsorship of Qorvo®. Modelithics also offers a Standard and Custom Test Fixture and Accessory Product Line, for a family of thin film Probe Point™ Alumina substrate fixtures compatible with RF probing.
