Curtiss-Wright Controls Partners with Aicas to Bring JAVA-based Real-Time Processing to Defense and Aerospace Platforms
ASHBURN, VA – January 8, 2013 – Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions (CWCDS), a business group of Curtiss-Wright Controls, has announced that it is partnering with Aicas, a leading provider of Java-based development and analysis tools for real-time and embedded systems. Aicas will support its JamaicaVM, a hard real-time Java Virtual Machine, on Curtiss-Wright’s open architecture rugged COTS Single Board Computers and Graphic cards, with additional support for CWCDS Continuum Vector Libraries utilizing Altivec technology. These products are used in embedded systems designed for use in demanding defense and aerospace applications. JamaicaVM is optimized for critical systems such as real-time control, network communication, and human-machine interfaces (HMI).
