ASHBURN, Va. – October 3, 2018 -- Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division today announced that its Avionics business unit, based in Christchurch, Dorset, UK, has been awarded Silver accreditation by the UK’s Investors in People Standard, demonstrating the Company’s commitment to high performance through good people management. Curtiss-Wright was recognized for its ongoing investment in research and development to ensure it maintains technology leadership to deliver high performance Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom engineered products.
The Investors in People offers accreditation to organizations that adhere to the Investors in People Standard for people management. Originally owned by the UK government, Investors in People is currently a Community Interest Company. Investors in People assessments are conducted locally through local Delivery Centers across the UK and internationally. The organization defines an international standard for people management, with a focus on leadership, support, and management of people to effectively achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People enables organizations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.
