WxPD support added to UEI’s ARINC-708/453 interfaces
Walpole, MA (June 9, 2016) — United Electronic Industries (UEI) is pleased to announce it has added WxPD support to its popular DNx-708-453 avionics interface. WxPD is a Honeywell developed interface between flight computers and digital displays typically used in weather radar and EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems) applications. WxPD is used in conjunction various Primus and EDZ/MDZ series displays deployed on a wide variety of aircraft. The new WxPD support is included with the purchase of UEI’s DNx-708-453 boards.
The DNx-708-453 is a dual channel ARINC-708 and -453 interface designed to be used in UEI’s popular Cube and RACKtangle chassis. The Cube/RACKtangle chassis can be connected to a host PC via Ethernet, or can run as embedded systems based on either Linux or VxWorks. Applications for the board include use in Flight Simulators, flight data logging and avionics test systems.
