Engineers at Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego in Owego, N.Y., needed visualization software to develop cockpit displays for the US101 presidential helicopter.
They found a solution with VAPS and STAGE from Engenuity Technologies Inc. in Montreal.
Under a $318,000 contract, Engenuity will deliver its Integrated Visual and Simulation package-comprising software tools, VAPS, and STAGE-enabling Lockheed Martin to develop an avionics proposal for the new helicopter.
Customers in the aerospace, defense, and automotive industries use Engenuity software to develop human-machine interfaces (HMIs), simulation and training systems, and graphical representations.
VAPS is a software tool suite for rapid prototyping, designing, testing, and deploying HMIs. VAPS enables the development of dynamic, interactive, real-time graphical HMIs for complex applications such as the displays and controls found in the cockpit of an aircraft.
STAGE simplifies simulation through tools integration, graphic-user-interface-based development, ease of use, component reuse, and the minimization of coding and the maximization of customization capabilities. For more information see www.engenuitytech.com.
