Rugged mobile computer with 15-inch LCD display

Acme Portable Machines Inc. in Azuza, Calif., is announcing the EMP 350 rugged mobile computer that comes in a lunchbox style with 15-inch TFT liquid crystal display, keyboard, mouse touchpad, and 11 expansion slots for applications in military and field operations, law enforcement, forensic, automotive, and telecommunications. Built of heavy aluminum for rough situations, the EMP 350 can accommodate cards in solid-state flash storage drives for mobile servers, diagnostic cards for testing applications, data-acquisition cards for sampling data in the field, and audio and video editing of large files on filming locations.
