BROMMA, Sweden, 12 April 2014. Defence and security company Saab and MRO software company Mxi Technologies are cooperating in the provision of Military Fleet Management using Mxi´s Maintenix software.
Saab, acting through its Business Area Support and Services, signed a Teaming Agreement with Mxi Technologies to provide Military Fleet Management to armed forces worldwide. This cooperation combines Saab´s experience in integrated technical and logistic support solutions
for complex systems and Mxi Technologies’ Maintenix software, to deliver a comprehensive Fleet Management offering.
A key enabler is an integrated approach to information management to continuously update “As Designed,” “As Delivered,” and “As Maintained” system configuration based on operational experience.
Maintenix software enables Saab to secure the integrity of “As Maintained” in-service systems and feedback findings to influence design changes and new delivery configurations. Maintenix advanced configuration management supports planning, production and maintenance reporting (including airworthiness management) which, combined with Saab operational experience, facilities and personnel, enables the delivery of turnkey Fleet Management solutions.
“Teaming with Mxi Technologies is an important step for Saab in securing access to best-of-breed tools which support delivery of innovative support solutions to meet current and future customer requirements. A state-of-the-art Fleet Management capability for Air, Land and Naval domains is an essential part of Saab´s support solution portfolio,” says Lena Bergvin-Lundqvist, vice president and head of business unit life cycle logistics at Saab.
“Mxi is proud to be teaming with a world-class organization like Saab as they continue to enrich their support solution portfolio of offerings. Our collective commitment to help shape the future state of military fleet management creates great value for our customers and the market at large,” says Dave Seibel, chairman and CEO, Mxi Technologies.
