Boeing Defense Space and Security employs Siemens product lifecycle management technology

CHICAGO, 27 Feb. 2012. Officials at The Boeing Company signed a 10-year agreement to use product lifecycle management (PLM) software from Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division, at its Boeing Defense Space and Security business segment.

CHICAGO, 27 Feb. 2012. Officials at The Boeing Company signed a 10-year agreement to use product lifecycle management (PLM) software from Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division, at its Boeing Defense Space and Security business segment.

“We are partnering with Siemens PLM Software to enhance Boeing's PLM capabilities,” says Nancy Bailey, Boeing vice president of IT Product Systems. “The openness of the Siemens PLM Software will continue to support, and help us improve, the solutions we use throughout Boeing, creating additional business value for our company.”

“Boeing’s commitment to leverage the integrated Siemens PLM suite of solutions is a testament to our continued ability to bring the most innovative products to market to help our customers succeed,” explains Chuck Grindstaff, CEO, Siemens PLM Software.

Boeing officials opted to extend the use of Siemens’ NX software and Teamcenter software for its innovation, scalability, and open architecture, according to a spokesperson.
