APEM delivers switch to meet military requirements

HAVERHILL, Mass., 25 April 2009. APEM Components Inc., a manufacturer of industrial switches and joysticks, has released the IS Series pushbutton produced in a "desert tan" color to accommodate specific military applications. At the request of a military subcontractor, APEM produced its IS series pushbutton to satisfy Federal Standard 595B color FS 33446.

APEM Components Inc., a manufacturer of industrial switches and joysticks, has released the IS Series pushbutton produced in a "desert tan" color to accommodate specific military applications. At the request of a military subcontractor, APEM produced its IS series pushbutton to satisfy Federal Standard 595B color FS 33446.

APEM's IS series switches are compact, mounting into a 13.6-millimeter hole and projecting less than 20 millimeters behind the panel. Features include: round and square bezels, IP67sealing, and illumination in five LED colors. The IS series is offered in custom colors, as well as in 10 standard actuator color choices.

The IS pushbutton switch series is manufactured with gold-plated, silver contacts and is rated up to 125 VAC (volts AC) at 125mA at 500,000 cycles. The IS Series pushbutton is also offered with an optional silicone boot for protection from frost and sand for harsh environments.
