CHESHAM, England, 2 Dec. 2006. Resolve Optics Ltd. in Chesham, England, is announcing a high-temperature optical system that adapts to a wide variety of high-temperature applications.
Field proven for monitoring processes in a furnace to a temperature of 950 degrees Celsius, the optical system requires no cooling. The design also only will require air cooling for use in most applications at even higher temperatures.
The specially designed prisms avoid the breakdown risk inherent in expensive cooling systems opening the door to non-invasively analyzing high-temperature processes such as incineration, recycling, smelting, chemical manufacturing, and operations inside furnaces.
The high-temperature optical system adapt to operate at a variety of field of views and angles of view as wide as 90 degrees. Additionally the high-temperature optical system can accommodate any length and diameter of endoscope to enable in situ micro inspection within high-temperature processes.
