Combat Training Solutions debuts non-pyrotechnic IED/counter IED training solutions
Dec. 17, 2006
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., 17 Dec. 2006. Combat Training Solutions Inc. (CTS) has introduced non-pyrotechnic training solutions for defense and law enforcement agencies. The company is supplying warfighters with powerful non-pyrotechnic simulators.
Until now, generating explosion effects for live training relied upon pyrotechnic devices -- real explosives with inherent dangers and safety restrictions. Traditionally-used pyrotechnic devices were highly restrictive for the user.
CTS's new, Full Effect Audio Visual Non-Pyrotechnic Explosion Simulators employ air pressure, burst diaphragm, and smoke simulation powder. CTS Simulators range in size from small trip wire booby-trap devices and landmines to full-size, radio-controlled road-side IED simulators. These products are safe for anyone to handle and operate in virtually any environment under virtually any condition.
The most effective characteristic of this CTS product line is permissibility of Direct Contact Training (DCT). Trainees are afforded a direct, high-impact consequence for mistakes made during situational awareness exercises. This translates into field soldiers arriving in theater better equipped to identify, react to, and destroy a threat.
The Department of Defense and Joint Forces Command ordered a wartime acquisition of CTS products, incorporating them into Convoy Training Centers around the world.
The CTS customer base includes Department of Defense (all military branches), Homeland Defense, local and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as foreign allies.
