INGLEWOOD, Calif., 17 May 2006. Minus K Technology is partnering with Kinetic Systems Inc. for the new MK26 high-performance vibration isolation workstation. The MK26 integrates the Minus K patented Negative Stiffness vibration isolation technology with the Kinetic Systems workstation platform and accessories to deliver a compact, passive workstation with ultra-low sub-Hertz natural frequencies achieving 93-percent isolation efficiency at 2Hz, 99 percent at 5Hz, and 99.7 percent at 10Hz.
The MK26 can be configured for a wide variety of applications. Customization options include guard rails, padded armrests, overhead equipment shelves, monitor stands, non-isolated shelves for supporting equipment off the tabletop, oversized keyboard shelves, retractable casters, Faraday Cages, and tabletop enclosures to protect against harsh manufacturing environments.
Applications for the MK26 Vibration Isolation Workstation include fluorescent dye imaging, patch clamping, scanning probe microscopes, microhardness testing, sensor calibration, profilers, and interferometers in fields such as biology, semiconductor processing, materials research, aerospace engineering, and medical research.
