High-temperature 8-bit programmable comparator introduced by CISSOID for aerospace and industrial applications

CISSOID in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium, is introducing the NILE high-temperature, low-power, 8-bit comparator that operates in temperatures from -55 to 225 degrees Celsius for signal processing and signal conditioning in sensor interfaces designed into aeronautics, industrial, oil and gas, automotive, and high-temperature applications.

CISSOID in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium, is introducing the NILE low-power, high-temperature 8-bit comparator that operates in temperatures from -55 to 225 degrees Celsius for signal processing and signal conditioning in sensor interfaces designed into aeronautics, industrial, oil and gas, automotive, and other high-temperature electronics applications.

NILE compares an analog input against an 8-bit resolution portion of the 5-volt reference voltage, with a programmable threshold. It is based on an R-2R network and features a strictly monotonic characteristic over the whole temperature range.

NILE is a continuous time device and provides a valid output within 2.6 microseconds for a one-half LSB (10-microvolt) comparator overdrive. It requires a 5-volt supply and an external 5-volt reference. Several input ranges are also available, from -15 volts to 10 volts.

The NILE comparator is latch-up free and consumes less than 250 microamps, even at the maximum operating temperature of 225 C. For more information contact CISSOID online at www.cissoid.com.
