Getac Technology Corp. in Irvine, Calif., is releasing versions of its B300 rugged notebook computer and V100 rugged convertible computer with Verizon Wireless 3G wireless network compatibility for users working in public safety, utilities, construction, and the military.

3G-equipped rugged notebooks have built-in mobile broadband access over wireless cellular networks, eliminating the need to carry external data cards or search for Wi-Fi hotspots.
