Nortel Government Solutions wins $10.4 million Air Force services award

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, 21 Dec. 2007. Nortel Government Solutions, a U.S. company wholly owned by Nortel, will provide services to the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate. The Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate develops materials, processes and advanced manufacturing technologies for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, rockets, ground-based systems and related components.

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, 21 Dec. 2007. Nortel Government Solutions, a U.S. company wholly owned by Nortel, will continue to provide environmental management and support services through 2010 for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, according to an estimated $10.4 million contract.

The Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate develops materials, processes and advanced manufacturing technologies for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, rockets, ground-based systems and related components.

The contract calls for Nortel Government Solutions to provide a team of experienced environmental professionals to manage hazardous materials handling, hazardous waste disposal and pollution prevention in compliance with applicable regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
