The 0402FL's ferrite construction provides current handling as high as 1.3 amps with low DCR, with a ceramic core and height of 0.45 millimeters.

CARY, Ill. – Coilcraft Inc. in Cary, Ill., is introducing the 0402CT and 0402FL series of low-profile wirewound chip inductors for mobile and infrastructure equipment -- especially as a one-pole filter or RF and microwave choke in cellular phone networks.

The 0402FL's ferrite construction provides current handling as high as 1.3 amps with extremely low DC resistance (DCR). It features a ceramic core and has a maximum height of 0.45 millimeters.

Offered in 23 inductance values from 1.2 to 56 nanohenries (nH) with 5, 3, or 2 percent tolerance, the 0402CT provides Q Factor performance for infrastructure equipment to 84 at 2.4 GHz. It also offers self-resonant frequencies as high as 27.5 GHz and current ratings to 2.3 Amps.

The ferrite-core 0402FL series has a maximum height of 0.55 millimeters and comes in 16 inductance values from 20 to 560 nH. Its ferrite construction provides current handling as high as 1.3 Amps with extremely low DCR.

The 0402CT and 0402FL for RF applications are RoHS compliant, with matte tin over nickel over silver-platinum-glass frit terminations, and can withstand a maximum reflow temperature of 260 degrees Celsius.
