DIN rail mount DDA DC-DC power converters for generating low-cost, high-current outputs introduced by TDK
SAN DIEGO – TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. in San Diego is introducing the DDA series DIN rail mount DDA DC-DC converters for generating additional low-cost, high-current outputs from an existing 24-volt bus in industrial, semi fabrication, and test and measurement equipment.
The series uses step-down non-isolated power modules that operate from an input range of 9 to 53 volts DC, with a adjustable output voltage range of 3.3 to 24 volts.
Three models are available in the DDA series: a single nominal-output 12-volts 20-amp device; a dual-output 12-volt 20-amp / 5-volts 20 amp; and a dual-output 12-volt 14-amp / -12-volts 8-amp device.
Output power typically is 250 Watts for each of the positive outputs and 75 Watts for the negative output. Convection-cooled, the overall output power is 250 Watts, which can increase to 500 Watts with forced-air cooling.
Positive remote sense, remote on/off, and individual power good signals comes standard. The DDA series is efficient to 95 percent, reducing internal waste heat for reliable operation. The models measure 123.4 millimeters high, 115 millimeters deep, and 36.5 millimeters wide.
Safety certifications for these DC-DC converters include IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 with CE marking for the low-voltage, EMC and RoHS directives. The units also comply with EN 55032-A conducted and radiated emissions and meet the EN 61000-4 conducted, radiated, and magnetic field immunity standards.
